The world’s 1st 500mg Alpha GPC capsule containing 99% Alpha GPC*. The purest form of Alpha GPC. UK manufactured.

Alpha Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline is a potent form of the nutrient choline because it can cross the blood-brain barrier. Alpha GPC benefits cognitive function as it is the immediate precursor to the brain's chemical messenger acetylcholine which is released when conducting cognitive tasks such as memory retention or learning.

ideal for;

Alpha GPC supplements are the ideal nootropic for anybody with a mentally strenuous role, students or professionals who are studying for exams or anybody looking for a vegan choline supplement.

how it works;

Food derived choline and other forms of choline such as choline bitartrate cannot cross the blood-brain barrier alone. These forms of choline require a specific carrier mechanism that transports free choline across the BBB and only at a rate that is proportional to serum choline concentration [1]

Alpha GPC choline is an isolated nutrient that naturally occurs in the brain. It also freely crosses the blood-brain barrier to directly support acetylcholine production making it an ideal acetylcholine supplement.

  • Boosting choline levels can help to restore the bioavailability of acetylcholine [6,7]
  • Acetylcholine is essential for cognitive function, and it is essential for memory recall. Supplementation with Alpha GPC indicated an increase in brain function directly related to the healthy supply of acetylcholine [17]

FAQ's

1. How do I take it?

Take 1 capsule per day with food (500mg Alpha GPC/dose). Ideally in the morning, at lunch or just before you start work.

2. Could I be choline deficient?

In 2014 the US National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claimed that 90% of Americans are not getting enough choline in their diet. US Adequate Intake levels for men are 550mg/day and for women 425mg/day. In the EU it’s 480mg/day for pregnant women and 520mg/day for lactating women.

3. How long does it take to have an effect?

When orally ingested it shows a relative spike in acetylcholine 1-3 hours post-ingestion. [17]

4. Short term - what should I notice?

You may notice an ability to work for longer and an improved speed of recall.

5. Long term - what should I notice?

Double-blind placebo-controlled studies into patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s Dementia showed Alpha GPC was able to improve cognitive symptoms as assessed by 4 different rating scales for cognition. [4]

6. How long can I take it for?

A double-blind placebo-controlled study into Alpha GPC tested 180 days of continuous supplementation without adverse effects. [15]

7. How much Choline is Alpha GPC? And, how does it compare?

Our Alpha GPC 99% encapsulation is 40% Choline by weight.Most Alpha GPC products use a 50% Alpha GPC which is ½ bulking agent ½ Alpha GPC. They only contain 20% choline
CDP choline is 18.5% choline
Citicholine is 18.5% choline

8. Are there any other benefits to choline?

Yes; choline contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function, normal homocysteine metabolism and lipid metabolism. However, the evidence for strength and conditioning training and improvements in sports performance is too limited.

9. Are there any side effects?

Alpha GPC is safe when taken at the recommended dose. It is not recommended to exceed the stated dose. At higher than recommended doses a small number of people may experience side effects such as headaches or dizziness.
