Choline and omega 3 DHA have a synergistic relationship that enhances cognitive development[1,2,3,4,5].
Omega 3 DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function in adults and children [6].Our double concentrated DHA supplement is derived from algae and provides 600mg DHA in a single vegan omega 3 capsule. In healthy young adults whose diets were low in DHA, supplementation improved memory [7]. In 30-54 year olds, omega 3 improved executive function in participants with low DHA levels [8].
Alpha GPC is a potent form of the nutrient choline because it can cross the blood-brain barrier. Alpha GPC benefits cognitive function as It is the immediate precursor to the brain's memory & learning chemical acetylcholine which is released when conducting cognitive tasks. brain feed's is the world’s 1st 500mg Alpha GPC capsule containing 99% Alpha GPC*. The purest form of Alpha GPC. UK manufactured.

FAQ's
How/when do I take them?+-
Take 1 omega 3 DHA capsule per day with water.
Take 1 Alpha GPC capsule per day with food. Ideally in the morning , at lunch or before starting work.
Are there any side effects?+-
There are no reported side effects for Algal Omega 3 containing 500mg DHA. Alpha GPC is safe when taken at the recommended dose. It is not recommended to exceed the stated dose. At higher than recommended doses a small number of people may experience side effects such as headaches or dizziness.
Could i be deficient in omega 3 or choline?+-
The UK & US have very low levels of DHA due to the western diet [9]. 68% of U.S. adults & 95% of children, do not consume enough Omega 3 in their diet to meet U.S. Dietary Guidelines [9]. Only 25% [10] of the UK population consume oily fish. The recommendation is 2 portions of fish per week [at least one should be oily]
In 2014 the US National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claimed that 90% of Americans are not getting enough choline in their diet. US Adequate Intake levels for men are 550mg/day and for women 425mg/day. In the EU it’s 480mg/day for pregnant women and 520mg/day for lactating women.
Is it safe to take Omega 3 DHA with Alpha GPC ?+-
You can use Omega 3 DHA and Alpha GPC together. They work on different chemical pathways and they do not contraindicate. There may be a synergistic benefit of taking them in combination however, the synergistic benefit at these specific mg dosages hasn't been studied in clinical trial.
How long does it take to have an effect?+-
High-dose supplementation of DHA has been shown to begin increasing DHA levels after a month and maintain the levels throughout the supplementation period[11]. When orally ingested Alpha GPC it shows a relative spike in acetylcholine 1-3 hours post-ingestion. [12]

Iv definitely felt mentally stronger and able to concentrate for longer. Previously, I felt more headaches while trying to maintain concentration. I suffer from anemia so I feel alot of headaches. So combined with this supplement. I feel really supported
I ordered these Omega 3 as part of my daily supplement intake. There are 60 capsules in the pack and they are vegan friendly as they are made from Algal oil which is plant based. Each capsule contains DHA 500mg omega 3.The instructions state to take 1 per day with water so they should last 2 months. The capsules are easy to swallow with water and there is no after taste. The plastic package can be easily resealed and should the be stored in a cool dry place.
These are pretty much what you would expect from Omega 3 supplements - a decent sized, easy to swallow taste free capsule. They arrrive in quite a small packet (that's my Fitbit Sense next to it for scale in the photo) which should fit through a standard letter box but that will depend on the packaging put around it for delivery. Mine was put in A4 sized packaging which did not fit the letter box.My major caveat with these is the price. They seem very expensive compared with similar products. At first I thought this might be because of their vegan status but a quick search on brain feed revealed very similar vegan products which were not so dear (obviously DHA/EPA content variation make direct comparisons harder. For the record these supply 500mg of DHA and 20mg of EPA per 1000mg capsule and are sourced from algal oil.The packet I was sent had a best before date of June 2025 and so they have a good shelf life.
I like a one a day capsule. Often omegas require 2 but the downside is this one is very large- almost the size of 2 normal capsules! They are made from algal oil which is good if you don't tolerate fish oils or are vegan. The price reflects this though and whilst similar to combative quality products, it isn't cheap.
I'd never taken Omega-3 supplements before but had always considered it, though the worry about fishy aftertaste and smells always put me off. These vegan, algae-based capsules are the perfect solution to that issue! I was still slightly dreading it when opening the packet, but I can thankfuly confirm there's no fishy smell (or taste) at all!The capsules are on the hefty size (photo included to show the scale) but I didn't have any issue actually swallowing them though, probably because of the shape and how smooth they are, so no problems there! 500mg per capsule is the amount recommended by Heart UK for adults each day, so the "one capsule per day" recommendation on the packet lines up perfectly! Some conditions reccommend 2000mg per day though, so you might need to look for something stronger if that's the case.I also love the compact and efficient packaging used! So often with vitamins/supplements, they come in bulky containers or packets, much bigger than what's actually needed. This one is perfectly sized though, nice and compact leaving just enough space for the tablets themselves, and it's fully resealable as well. Really nice to see, since it takes up less space on the worktop!Obviously I can't say much about the health effects myself, not yet anyway, but if you feel like you need a bit more Omega-3 in your diet and want a non-fishy option to get there, these are an excellent choice!

Hi Sophie,
Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for the experience you’ve had. We operate a strict stock rotation process and do not intentionally dispatch short-dated products. Your order should have had a minimum of 3 months remaining shelf life at the time of dispatch. I have flagged this with our dispatch team, and someone will be in touch shortly to arrange next steps - Christine, brain feed customer care
The supplements were rancid and obviously not stored correctly because they came very soft I will leave more bad reviews other places if I don't get compensated
Store owner replied:
Thank you for getting in touch. We have not received reports of this nature before, and the manufacturing and packaging processes used for our DHA are specifically designed to prevent oxidation, which is what causes oils to become rancid. Rancidity occurs when oils are exposed to oxygen, light, or heat. Several safeguards are in place to prevent this:
The product is packaged with a permanent UV barrier to protect it from light exposure.
The algae oil is produced using a closed-loop fermentation process, which tightly controls environmental conditions.
During encapsulation, temperature, humidity, and oxygen exposure are carefully controlled so the oil remains stable.
An antioxidant (vitamin E) is added to help maintain oil quality and prevent oxidation.
The oil also undergoes winterisation, where it is cooled and filtered multiple times to maintain clarity and stability.
We also test the oil for oxidation, for which we have some of the best oxidation data in the industry.
Based on these manufacturing controls and quality testing, the product will not be rancid. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to info@brain-feed.com
Too early to notice any difference as only been taking a week
I really like this supplement. Its easy to take in its gel capsule format, leaves no aftertaste or indigestion. This will be my second pack and so far, so good. 😊

Hi Carol,
Thank you for your honest feedback. This is completely normal. DHA omega-3 contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function. The only way to measure the impact of DHA supplementation is by assessing the total accumulation of DHA in red blood cells. This process takes up to 120 days to reach its maximum level. We're currently developing an at-home testing solution specifically for DHA, which will make tracking progress much easier - Christine, brain feed customer care
Easy to swallow and the 1 a day dosage is super practical ♥️

I gave it to my son (who is quite under pressure at the moment) and he told me that he did feel a difference, he managed to focus better and was more alert
Store owner replied:
Thanks for your feedback, Ann-Kristin! It's great to hear your son has been enjoying the product. Whilst DHA intake is important as it contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and vision, at present, there isn't an authorised health claim for focus and alertness. As you mentioned, focus and alertness, you may be interested in acetylcholine, your brain's memory and learning chemical messenger. You can support your acetylcholine levels with its building block, Alpha GPC. We have the World’s 1st 500mg Alpha GPC 99% capsules, and you can learn more here: https://brain-feed.com/products/alpha-gpc-choline-500mg.

Hi Vix,
Thank you for reaching out. We haven’t received a report of this nature before. We recommend that you speak with your GP, as your symptoms could be indicative of an underlying health condition.
If you have any concerns about the product itself, please contact our customer service team directly at info@brain-feed.com
and include the batch number. They will be happy to investigate further.

This interfered with the effectiveness of the alpha lipoic acid I’m taking that’s helping me. They seem to compete for receptors.
Store owner replied:
Hi Emma,
DHA gets gradually incorporated into cell membranes without the need for receptors or causing contraindications with ALA. DHA optimises membrane function, improves cell messaging and supports normal brain function and vision[3,4,5,6]. ALA converts into DHA, but studies indicate that only between 0.5% - 5% converts to DHA. ALA is not a suitable substitute for DHA. If you have any other questions please reach out to info@brain-feed.com and one of our friendly experts might be able to help.
Kind Regards , Christine [brain feed customer care]
